Josh is the fourth generation of a family of Salvationist musicians and loves every aspect of the music and creative arts ministries of the Salvation Army. He graduated with a BA in Psychology from Asbury College in 2008 and finished a MA in Religion from Liberty University in 2011.
Josh is a low brass enthusiast, but the trombone is his brass instrument of choice. He also plays guitar and has proudly served as the electric guitarist for the contemporary worship group transMission since 2009.
As the Music Education and Production Specialist since December 2012, Josh serves as a project manager and engineer on many of the productions and publications that the Music and Creative Arts department produces including The Contemporary Guitarist: Methods for a Worship Musician, the American Instrumental Ensemble Series, Children’s Praise, the Wonderful Words of Life radio broadcasts (both in English and Spanish), as well as various recordings.
When not working, Josh loves spending time with his beautiful wife Melissa, newly born son Benjamin, and energetic dog Molly. He is a fan of Atlanta sports in general, but is a particularly avid Braves fan.
