Commissioning
Every year, The Salvation Army commissions (ordains) new officers (ministers) at the annual Commissioning Weekend. As the USA Southern Territory converges on Atlanta, the music and arts forces also join the weekend in order to support the graduation, ordination & commissioning, and various event throughout the weekend.
Territorial Music Institute
The annual Territorial Music Institute (TMI) will meet at the beautiful campus of Asbury University. TMI brings hundreds of young people from across the Southern Territory together for a week in order to grow in their artistic craft and deepen their relationship with Jesus.
Southern Staff Songsters
The Southern Staff Songsters will be traveling to Toronto, Canada this weekend to join forces with the International Staff Songsters and the other North American Staff Songster groups. This weekend will feature joint concerts, clinics and celebrations!
TAM Ministry Weekend
The Territorial Arts Ministries Team will meet in Atlanta for a weekend of rehearsal and ministry. As the TAM Team prepares for a busy season of events, they will meet this weekend to learn repertoire and ready themselves for the various ministry opportunities available to them. Amidst their busy rehearsals, they will still find time to assist local Corps (churches) in the Atlanta area.
Southern Staff Band
The Southern Staff Band will meet in Atlanta for a weekend of fellowship and ministry. This weekend, the SSB will be recording a new album. This will be the bands first album in 4 years!
North American Composer’s Forum
The North American Composer’s Forum is a conference for budding and experienced composers alike. Meeting in Chicago, IL, this conference is an opportunity for composers and songwriters to harness their craft and have one-on-one teaching with industry professionals.
