Favorite Piece: Trumpet/Flugel Horn Solo - Blessed Assurance (Stephen Bulla)

Favorite SSB Moment: Playing on stage at Royal Albert Hall with the International Staff Band (1990) - It was a very special moment. I stopped to recall how many great Salvation Army bands had played on that stage over the years. What a grand heritage!

Born in Miami, FL - 4th generation Salvationist - son of Majors Glenn and Renee Proctor.

BA in Communication - Trinity International University

Divisional Music Director - Texas Division - 1972-1976

Commissioned and ordained as a Salvation Army officer in 1978 - have served in 7 of the 9 Divisions in the Southern Territory and participated in music programs in all of these.

Appointed to Holy Land Tour (1987), Steps of Paul Tour (2003), and to International College for Officers (London 2004).

Married to Francine Kortstra Proctor, whom I met on the cover of the British War Cry while she was serving on the Thai-Cambodian border; two daughters - Kally, married to Luis Juarez, with son Joshua, living in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Kaylene, married to Mark Baker, living in Abilene, TX.

Conducted Music Institute for The Salvation Army South America West Territory 2008.

Have played in Texas Divisional Band, National Capital Band, and Southern Staff Band since 1968 - band tours to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Belize, Cuba, Colombia, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Scotland, Switzerland, France, and the United Kingdom.
